Carolyn Forde holds an Honours BA from Trent University in English and History, a Publishing Certificate from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen Scotland, and has completed the Simon Fraser University intensive publishing course as well as various publishing/editing courses at Ryerson University. She has worked in publishing for 10 years, and has also taught English in the Czech Republic; Chiapas, Mexico; and Japan. Her short fiction has been published in the Absinthe Literary Review, Rampike, the W.W. Norton Anthology FLASH FICTION FORWARD and been translated into Farsi by Asad Amarae for his Iranian online literary magazine.
Carolyn has been with Westwood Creative Artists, Canada's largest literary agency, since 2005, first assisting with all of the agents and reading the slush pile, then in 2006 was promoted to assistant to Bruce Westwood, owner of the agency. Carolyn has a small list of authors she is the agent for, and she is hoping to judiciously add to that list over the coming years.
