Marie Campbell is a literary agent with Transatlantic Literary Agency, specializing in children's fiction for ages 8+. She began her publishing career at Octopus Children’s Books in the U.K., returning to Canada to work at Penguin Books Canada, then at Quill & Quire magazine, and later at HarperCollins Publishers Ltd., where she was children's book editor and subsidiary rights manager. After 20 years in the book business, she's sat on many sides of the desk: as agent, acquisitions editor, rights manager and publicist. Marie joined TLA as an agent in 2003 in London, U.K., and has been agenting based in Toronto since 2005. She represents writers from Canada, the U.S., Australia, and the U.K.
