What began in 2008 as the dream of a handful of organizers who had been heavily involved with the Writers’ Community of Durham Region (WCDR) has become a full-fledged writers’ organization and an annual event on every writers’ calendar.
The Ontario Writers’ Conference has blossomed into a premier arts writing and author organization.
Building on the success of OWC on the first weekend in May each year, our mandate is to conduct educational, challenging and interactive workshops, panels, roundtables, mentoring sessions, etc. led by writers, arts-related facilitators and industry professionals.
We are proud to present: Ontario Writers’ Conference 2012 on May 5th, 2012. We are most fortunate to have as our honorary patron, the acclaimed award-winning Canadian author Wayson Choy.
